Oxford Web Applications hosting infrastructure is physically located at geographically separated UK based Data Centres and we offer clients the option to host their applications at multiple locations.
Our Business Continuity options include the implementation of secure data replication between the primary and secondary servers. This can be achieved either by replicating a copy of the primary server on a regular basis to the secondary facility, or implementing secure active data replication which can provide real time duplication of data between each location.
Oxford Web Applications provide Domain name management which includes the registration, hosting and renewal of Internet domain names.
We are a Nominet accredited registrar. We are also able to register and manage ac.uk, gov.uk, gov.scot, gov.wales and llyw.cymru domains directly with Jisc.
Domain names which we manage are hosted on geographically separated production name servers to provide security and resilience.
To ensure the web applications we develop for our clients remain secure we offer our Monthly Security Protection service. Each month we will identify and install any operating system or middleware security patches which have been released and install these onto the host server and application on a monthly basis.
This service ensures that the host server and web application is kept secure from security vulnerabilities which have been identified and fixes released by the vendor.
Patches will be applied on a monthly basis by default. If a zero day exploit for any of the items covered is disclosed during the month and the vendor recommends immediate patching, then we will apply the update once we are happy that it is stable.
